The Hiding Place

Corrie, along with her father and sister, were watchmakers in Holland. Their lives were as systematic as their watches, everything always running the exact same as usual, up until Corrie turned 50.

Then the Nazis invaded their beloved Holland as WW2 started. People, family and friends started disappearing one by one, and no one knew where they went. Corrie became a worker for the Underground - and, as a family, they hid Jews in a secret room in Corrie's bedroom.

But, the Nazis soon hear about it, and raid the house. Corrie, her father and sister Betsie are all taken to the horrible concentration camps. This is Corrie's story, where she tells of true forgiveness, and the One true Hiding Place in times of trial.

This book is probably better for the teenage reader, or the mature reader. It contains some content of the Holocaust that might upset the more sensitive reader. Romance in this book is very, very mild and only for a very short section. This book is not a romance. It is here to tell the story of something far more lasting - faith, courage, hope and forgiveness.
